THe Rat Race

Everyone has a goal in life but do we really need to offend people on our way in achieving them.  We become so arrogant and stubborn that we don’t even spare a moment enjoying the beautiful life we are gifted with. Everybody wants to surpass each other for satisfying their ego. But does this satisfaction really give us happiness or it’s just a myth in which we weave our life.

Few people want to kill the competition and few are just slogging themselves to come to the top. The competition which we want to kill might kill us one day as if we broaden our horizon the race which we are running is run by every other individual on our planet.  Some of us think that our greatest competitors are the colleagues with whom our performance is compared but it’s demon inside us with whom we should compete. The world would become a better place to live if we start doing that as the sense of envy and jealousy would vanish. Even after killing the competition or winning the race, are we happy or it’s just that our ego is satisfied. Satisfying ego has become pivotal in our life and in that fear we don’t take risk of thinking out of the box. We are still stuck with stereotype methodologies which in the end bears no fruit.

Being born in an over populated country, the race began from the time of admissions into schools. When we could not even walk properly, we were asked to run. Then came the boards where everyone had eyes on us and we too wanted to score good as we wanted to get through the best school in town. The process continued, the great entrance exams and then the cgpa of the college. It won’t stop as thought because we would then want to climb the hierarchy of posts of our company.

We work for a better tomorrow, but when it comes we are again working for a better tomorrow, so we hardly have time to seek happiness in small things in life. The race which we all are running is futile; happiness doesn’t mean being at the top, it means knowing your inner self and being contented with whatever you have. A time will come where we will be successful but we won’t have anybody to share our success with. Successful life will have its own definition in each of our dictionaries. Some of us might just feel successful by superficial felicity of life, but for some being successful is being contented in life.

Being contented doesn’t mean that we should be complacent in life, it means that we should try to reduce our flaws and fight against ourselves to reach a new height without having a feeling of jealousy amongst each other.

The Big Eyed Girl

Exasperated by few made me write my first blog ... But things just change ... you tend to make mistakes in understanding people ...Those were the things of past ... writing my first blog was satisfying ...Making it more special was the reviews i got ...now i am gonna write about something which would have happened to every person in his life ...

Third night of college , walking uphill to the food court for dinner . AKM(kaku ) just left manipal . Loneliness was all around and almost two thousand people were like me unable to comprehend the place . All scared of seniors though i have been lucky till now . Walking towards the gigantic building shining under the dark sky , a lot of things were going in my mind , trying to figure out what life would be after four years of engineering . I wasnt happy leaving home ...
After a walk from my block to the food court , things looked pretty messed up . I was clueless as why my seniors were approaching me to join clubs . But non excited me and i went straight inside the food court . It had two sections for serving vegetarian and non vegetarian . Being a veggie i went to the serving counter where they served vegetarian food ... I took the plate and sat on the nearest vacant table i could find . When i was almost about to complete my dinner I was joined by another fresher who was allotted the same section  as i was . Looking around to see if i knew anybody but the place and the people looked aliens to me ....
Though engineering colleges have a weird ratio of girls and guys and coming from the northern part of the country made it look even worse ...
Looking for someone i know my eyes fell on a girl wearing pink tee and blue jeans ... She stood at the serving counter as her friends were taking food .. She looked inquisitive and scared . Searching for a place to sit she advanced towards me and sat on the table at 2 `o clock to me . She was accompanied by two other girl which was enough to make me realize that  the girl i was looking out for was my senior . Sitting with a nerd who sounded like a gay and had no interesting thing other than AIEEE and IIT scores to talk about . I kept on looking at her and the windows of her soul completely made me go weak on my knees . I thought to myself that if she looked at herself in the mirror she would fix her gaze on her eyes , would eye them intently and those beautiful brown almond shaped eyes will tell her mutely that she is charming ...
My classmate was still up with his saga of his broken dreams but that was too less to distract me from her ... She being not the quickest of eaters gave me time to look at her ....
I can enumerate a lot of things about that girl i saw on the third day of my college .... But for those who are still figuring out who she is ....Guys she is a first year and in a relationship ...

This Is Engineering

Welcome to the world of hypocrites and douchebags  often called professional courses . Weird people with strange personalities and attitude are only found in a bulk in an engineering college. Few are too frustrated to have a life and few are just in their own world of paradise. Talking about engineering life its filled with ups and downs .  Few take help of the white lady with a burning end and some just trust the monks . A strange transformation takes place in a persons  life…. People all of a sudden start evaluating you on your cgpa and fail to recognize your true potential ….
Talking about college life … friends just mean wing mans and relationship just means sex …. True friendship is so hard to find in here where everyone portrays themselves to be what they are not even close to being … you will find hell loads of sycophants  double faced  attention seekers who have only one aim in life that is to be praised by each and everyone …. They just want is a good good image infront of everyone …. They just don’t want to be straight forward as they are too worried about their fan following … It is clearly visible that usage of few terms are in excess and one of them is `BHAI’ ….  You are so nice to a person on his face and you bitch about him behind his back ( a very common phenomenon in hostel life ).
Its just the beginning a lot has to follow …
